Spencer Neel 10 Words Animation

Animating this video was different than previous animations I've done in Animation. The Video Timeline is different from Frame-by-Frame animation because it requires you to set markers for where you want certain objects to go at certain times. Instead of making several different frames, you only have to use one frame and move it at different times with the markers on the timeline. I had trouble trying to edit the words after the markers were set because if I changed the size, the size would only change at that time on the timeline. I had to delete some of the markers and change the size at that time in order to get around this issue. Making animations this way took much less time than making animations frame by frame because I only had to use one frame rather than several for one object.

Spencer Neel Name Bounce

Arc Project

Creating this project furthered my understanding of "squash and stretch" by having the object moving rather than just up and down. I struggled on how many frames should be added to display the appropriate speed of the animation. This project was a pleasure to make because I got added more of my own creativity. I enjoy animating and hope to be doing more projects soon.

Bounce 1 Spencer Neel

From doing this project, I learned about "squash and stretch", the idea of when an object is moving, it will stretch outwards, and when it makes contact with the ground or other objects, it will squash down. I also learned about "ease in and ease out", which means that the object will go faster as it reaches the ground and slower back at the top where it started. In photoshop, I learned how to make an animation with the timeline. I had used photoshop before, but I never knew about the timeline.
